Programme 1 : Performance Programme

A dance, drama or activity performance designed to take place during school assembly.

Energise Dance

A number of short dances will be presented which will tie into the national curriculum supported by verbal interaction, this lasts approximately 30 minutes. The performance is aimed at specific age groups:

Energise Drama

A piece of drama directed at specific age groups also tying into the national curriculum. Each will last approximately 25 minutes including audience participation.

We also run a Christmas show every year which lasts approximately 45 minutes. This is a perfect way to round up the year. With a show full of fun, music and festive cheer. We are not the only ones who will be acting, the pupils will be too.

Energise Activity

Programme 1 will consist of a 90 minute workshop for a class size, debating the effects of an active lifestyle with particular focus on the FITT principal.

Following the workshop, the class will deliver a presentation based on their findings to the whole school. The assembly will encourage involvement from the audience.

Programme 2 : Workshop Programme

Energise Dance:

Schools are able to access a tutor for a day who will lead a number of dance or movement workshops. This programme can be linked to the programme 1 or can be completely separate and based on a theme(s) of your choice. (Max 2 themes per day)

Energise Drama:

Schools are able to access a tutor for a day who will lead a number of drama workshops with KS1 and KS2. Each workshop will look at improvisation, performance skills and most importantly having fun. The day can be based on a variety of different themes.

Energise Dance and Drama:

Each school is able to have a combination of the above i.e. a day of dance and a day of drama or a mixture of both over 2 days.

Energise Activity:

Schools are able to access a tutor for ½ a day who will lead a number of workshops based on the mornings presentation. Every Workshop is able to cater for all age groups.

Programme 3 : Residency Programme

Energise Dance and Drama:

A tutor will run a series of workshops over a number of weeks i.e. half a term (6 sessions). We appreciate that every school is different, therefore we aim to work closely with each schools individual needs for example:

Number of classes: We are able to attend your school to work with 1 class or a number of classes over a period of time.

Period of time: Our residency’s can range from a tutor coming to your school everyday for 1 week to once a week for 6-12 weeks.

Themes: We can create our workshops at any theme. Below is an example of some of the themes your school is able to access.

Programme 4 : After School Club

Energise Dance, Drama and Activity:

Schools are able to access a tutor to work with a class size immediately after school. The class will run on a weekly basis.

We recommend booking programme 1, 2 or 3 prior to running after school club as this will ensure its success.

NB: Places for this are limited as each tutor is only able to teach 5 per week. Schools are also able to access a tutor for Energise Activity at a lunch time, weather permitting.

Programme 5 : Inset our Programme

Energise Dance and Drama:

Inset Hour

Schools are able to access a tutor/s as part of an inset day for an hour long workshop.

The workshop will cover the fundamentals of teaching Dance/Drama. This is a practical session OR The hour can be utilised as a fun session as a break during inset day.

Programme 6 : Inset Day

Energise Dance and Drama:

A tutor or tutors will run a series of practical and theory workshops throughout the day including the fundamentals of teaching dance/drama.

Advice will be given on how to create a programme of dance/drama on a specified theme, to a targeted age group.
E.g. Half a term, to a year 3 class, based on outer space.

Throughout the day there will be opportunities for questions and answers.
